Since 1929, Harriett's Oil Service has been earning the trust of homeowners, businesses, and institutions throughout Burlington and Camden Counties.

HISTORY


1929

George W. Harriett started the business that has become Harriett's Oil Service. It started with a garage to repair trucks and cars, and a gas station. Reliability was an early hallmark of the Harriett name.

1940

A major flood completely swept away the business known as Harriett's Oil Service. The determination and fortitude of George W. Harriett rebuilt the business in the present building now standing at 101 South Main Street in Medford, NJ.

1952

The second generation took over the business. George's son G. Robert Harriett and Leonard Dickson, George's son-in-law, jointly developed Harriett's Oil Service into a high growth retail heating oil business.

1966

Leonard Dickson retired and G. Robert Harriett guided the company in its expansion of service to all makes of equipment, installation of home comfort systems, and the development of its water conditioning business.

1989

The foresight of recognizing the areas of growth potential were a hallmark of G. Robert Harriett's legacy to the third generation. The third generation of Harriett's Oil Service, comprised of Robert J. Harriett as President, Ann Harriett as Treasurer, and Bonnie Harriett-Crosby as Human Relations Manager, and Jack Crosby as Vice-President.

Today

Having celebrated Our 75th anniversary and Harriett's Oil Service has raised the bar on service and value to our customers. Using the latest technology in delivery and service, we offer the most reliable home comfort systems in the region...and we continue to grow thanks to the referral of our satisfied customers.
